So what happens in the Therion Society?
The basic idea with a Society than a traditional Fan Club is to have a higher intellectual level, so that both our more mature listeners as well as the younger ones have a platform to unite. For being a metal band have a considerably more mature fan base. Given the fact that Therion also have a more demanding musical and lyrical concept, it is also natural that the band have a Society with a more intellectual approach than a regular Fan Club, but on the same time contain also most of the more basic stuff that a Fan Club would be expected to offer.
Another idea behind the concept is to year by year increase the Therion knowledge base.

Contact with the band.
For regular questions, use the Forum where the members of the Society is hanging out, Chris pops in there every now and then and speak wwith people. For more complex questions, use the function Yggdrasil so post questions to anyone in the band. There are also a couple of chats with band members per year, both with Chris and other members.

Votes, suggestions and looking into the future.
On a normal basis, Therion keep their secrets tight to them selves and have oceans of ideas for how to deal with everything. But then comes those occasions when even a band like Therion needs a hand. Nobody had any good ideas of what to call the live album and the DVD. Guess who came up with the titles "Live in Midgård" and "Celebrators of Becoming"?
And as for keeping secrets to them selves, there IS a crystal ball in there and it does give you some hints of things to come now and then...

Sound archive
Great collection of Therion related MP3 and AAC files, some are rare things you'd find it hard to get in any other way.

User files archive
Other members post everything from live pictures and video from concerts taken to music composed and recorded by them selves. Chris also use it sometimes to show some cool stuff. =)

The Inside
Cool essays written by Christofer on some interesting topics, some are very personal.

Yule Lottery.
Once a year you get the chance to win some cool Therion related object. Among the coolest items given to the lottery so far was one of Chris' guitar cases, parts of stage clothing and a huge original Theli 3-D store decoration.

Wanna join?
The annual members fee is only 10 euro. But when you join the first time, you also get a welcome package sent to you by regular mail with an autograph card signed by the band, which costs 10 euro. So the first year you pay 20 euro, each year in the future when you renew it is only 10.

IMPORTANT!!! After you have paid (PayPal or credit card), send immediatly a mail to administration@therionsociety.com and write what user name and password you would like to have. If the fee has arrived, you will receive a mail confirming you have been registered.
If you pay by sending cash, then write in the letter with the payment what user name and password you want.
